Privacy Policy
Helios Technology Solutions Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of our users (Merchants) and your customers. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, process, and secure data when you install and use the HistoriQ by Helios app in connection with your Shopify store.
1. Information We Collect
When you use the App to migrate historical sales data, we process two categories of information:
A. Merchant Information (Your Data)
- Store Identity: Your Shopify store URL, store name, and internal Shopify ID.
- Contact Details: The store owner’s email address used for app installation, billing, and support.
B. Customer Information (Your Customers' Data)
To provide the migration service, the App processes the CSV/Excel files you upload. This may include your customers':
- Names (Billing and Shipping)
- Email addresses
- Physical addresses (Street, City, Province, Zip/Postal Code, Country)
- Order histories, item SKUs, and purchase amounts
2. How We Use the Information
We use the collected data strictly to provide and improve our services:
- To process, map, and import your legacy sales data into your Shopify database.
- To provide technical support and troubleshoot failed imports (e.g., analyzing error logs).
- To authenticate your access to the App via Shopify's API.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data or your customers' data with third-party advertisers.
3. Data Storage, Security, and AWS Infrastructure
Security is our top priority. All backend processing and data storage for HistoriQ by Helios are powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit (using TLS/SSL) and at rest on our AWS servers.
- Data Retention: The CSV files you upload are stored temporarily on our secure AWS infrastructure strictly for the duration required to process the import and allow you to download error logs. We routinely purge uploaded files from our servers after the migration lifecycle is complete.
- Access Control: Access to our AWS backend is strictly limited to authorized Helios engineers for maintenance and support purposes only.
4. Third-Party Services
We share data only with the minimum necessary third parties required to operate the App:
- Shopify: We transmit the mapped data directly into your Shopify store via the official Shopify API.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): Used for secure cloud hosting, computation, and temporary file storage.
5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you and your customers may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data.
- If a customer requests data deletion (a "Right to be Forgotten" request), Shopify will forward this request to our App. We will automatically comply and scrub their data from any of our temporary logs.
- If you uninstall the App, you may request the immediate deletion of all your associated Merchant data from our servers by contacting us.
6. Contact Us
